Saturday, October 20, 2007 (Day Trip) Rhinebeck, New York Sorry, this tour is sold out.
Why spend your money on a hotel room when you could spend it all on yarn? Join Yarn Safaris® for a fiber-packed day trip to the New York State Sheep & Wool Festival (aka Rhinebeck). One of the largest sheep festivals in the country, Rhinebeck has a marketplace of more than 350 vendors and takes place at the peak of fall foliage season in scenic Hudson Valley. Vendors include Morehouse Farm, Foxfire Fiber & Designs, Greenwood Hill Farm, Green Mountain Spinnery, Koenig Farm, Mostly Merino, Sheldridge Farm, Spirit Trail Fibers and many, many more. We will spend approximately 7 hours at the festival. On the way home, you can start knitting with your new stash on the bus. The drive will fly by while you catch up with friends, knit, watch a movie or sleep, and you might even win one of the fabulous raffle prizes. Make a day of it and join fellow fiber fanatics for an action-packed day of stash enhancement. We'll travel on a spacious, air-conditioned coach equipped with a lavatory. There will be plenty of room to stow your Rhinebeck purchases.
